Girls Aloud to join teen soap

Wow. A soap opera that’s going to revolve around a character based off real-life British grouch Simon Cowell. Now we really have seen everything.
Set to be called The Secret World of Sam King, the soap will revolve around a young boy and his gradual ascension through the ranks of a music company and the music industry in general. He’ll be secretly setting up shop in a stationery cupboard and managing new bands that come his way. We are not making this up; check ITN for confirmation, if you’d like.
And, like any good show revolving around the music industry, this one will feature plenty of cameos, including Cheryl Tweedy and her pop cohorts Girls Aloud. Other actors set to appear are Amy Winehouse, Duffy and The Feeling, among others.
